Choracle Technology

Choracle provides software that helps chemists, pharmacologists, environmental scientists, ecotoxicologists and many others predict what toxic effect a chemical may have. Our approach builds on the range of in vitro assays available to predict the pharmacological and toxic effects of new chemicals, and is complementary to Systems Biology modelling.

Our software is built around four basic premises:
  1. software should be platform independent, portable, and easy to adapt
  2. software should address user needs, not producer obsessions
  3. a software prediction without an assessment of confidence is nearly worthless
  4. in biology, software is only as good as the basic data it is built on

(1)  All Choracle technology is based on Java code - portable, comprehensible, and able to form a stand-alone system or integrated into your corporate intranet with minimal alteration.

(2)  Our software is built on nearly a decade of detailed work in the field of computational ADME/Tox, and over 15 years in chemical, biological and pharmaceutical technology research.

(3)  Every prediction is made with reference not only to the overall predictive quality of its parent model, but also to its expected accuracy on the molecule supplied.

(4)  All the technology is linked back to databases of toxicity endpoints that have been validated from the primary research literature, and our software can report on those references to explain the results it obtains.
